Report on our Pilot Program.

Riding Beyond is a program for women experiencing the rigors of breast cancer treatment, to revitalize the whole person and help heal emotionally, physically, and spiritually, through carefully designed, guided interactions with horses. Exercises in four sessions improve blood circulation and oxygenation, respiration and blood pressure, as well as balance, strength, endurance and overall well-being.

Private Intensive Mentoring:

Riding Into Your Own Mythic Life

I offer private intensives for exploring your larger life, working with me and my horses for at least 6 hours each day, to clarify and deepen the direction of your life work and to pursue significant contributions to the world, especially through work with horses.

Your visit begins with personal, in-depth explorations with me and my horses, based on my lifelong studies in developing human capacities through the horse/human relationship. In following days, personally-designed powerful interactions with horses unlock secrets to your own personal and professional expansion. You’ll learn to work at liberty with horses to discover an energized new relationship with them and with yourself. We will take a day-long trail ride (for experienced riders) through the forested, mountain trails of the Pacific Crest Trail and its surroundings—a rich sensory experience of the best trail riding anywhere in the world that opens your personal horizons. I offer a perspective that helps you recognize your individual gifts, then to clarify your vision for the future and create a plan of action for unfolding that vision in your own community. Horses become catalysts in your life for pursuing your own mythic life.

Enhancing these activities are the many riches of Ashland, OR, where you can stay at a B&B or other nearby accommodation. People return to Ashland year after year to enjoy its rich natural resources of forested mountains for trail riding, hiking and biking, its abundant rivers and streams for fishing, boating, and white water rafting, the world famous modern and classical plays of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, and more. Ashland is home to practitioners in every healthcare alternative, making for a rich palette of experiences for you to enhance your visit here: massage, acupuncture, astrological readings, spa experiences, mineral hot springs, and more, that I help orchestrate, tailored to your best advantage.

3-day intensive $2250
4-day intensive $3000
5-day intensive $3750

What Others Say:

“These five days at Journey Horse have been extraordinary. I went into the workshop wanting to explore my deep yearning for partnership, with whom or with what, I did not know. In the course of the program this yearning opened up into an awakening of all my senses and a more accurate attunement with the world in and around me. I experienced directly and know that living fully in my body is the essential ingredient for authentic leadership—leading others and leading myself. “
Sandra Banister, The Leadership Circle Asia Pacific - Sydney, Australia

“I always knew I had a soul connection with these beautiful animals. It wasn’t until doing work with Trish and Journey Horse that I opened up to a much deeper understanding of my relationship to horses. Trish is a master in guiding and leading the human to the mystery, allowing the understanding to come in its own good time. I would recommend her work to everyone, and I am very grateful for the connection she facilitated so masterfully. It isn’t just my relationship with horses that changed, but also with other people and the rest of nature. Brilliant work!”

Webinar: "Kickstarting Your Program"

How to Quickly Roll Out A Great Idea into
a Broad-Based Community-Supported Program

This webinar was recorded Monday, January 27, 2014

VIEW THE WEBINAR - Enter your own name and email to login.

Say you know horses and the remarkable things that happen when
they get together with people. Say you've done your homework and are
proficient in an equine-related discipline; maybe you work in an accredited
therapeutic riding center. This presentation introduces you to another
important skill: the fundamentals for developing and unfolding effective,
energized community-based projects that harness your community's resources
for sustainability and long life of the program.

You will gain practical and theoretical guidelines and tips for taking your great ideas for equine facilitated services and unfolding them into an active program within a few months, a program that sustains itself with a strong base of community support. Theoretical guidelines draw on chaos theory, principles of community development from years of international work by the Institute of Cultural Affairs, and organizational learning theory. The emphasis of the presentation is on tried and true practical, step-by-step methods and tips forged during my work in over 40 years in nonprofit organizations specializing in leadership training and human development, as well as therapeutic riding.
